Science Continues to Verify the Power of Homeopathy
It's now become so routine that I can only smile ironically when I read in the media that "there is no scientific proof" that homeopathy works, or that homeopathy's effects are all due to the placebo effect. Unfortunately, this is
just a mantra that the media and many health professionals (who should know better) repeat without even thinking or investigating. As anyone who has read Impossible Cure knows, there is plenty of scientific evidence that
homeopathy works and that its power far exceeds the placebo effect. (Besides why would it work on herds of animals and infants if it was the placebo effect?)
It's almost 11 years now since Impossible Cure was published, and of course there is more and more clinical proof that homeopathy is effective medicine, and more studies that provide basic scientific evidence about how it
works. Past issues of this newsletter, for example, have discussed the work of Nobel prizewinner Luc Montagnier (who discovered the link between HIV and AIDS) and how he has discovered that
ultradilutions of DNA preserve its inherent properties. Despite his scientific prominence, it is all too typical that the big-pharma-funded forces mounted against him and that
Montagnier now has to conduct his research in China. Luckily, he is at a point in his career where he doesn't really care about the consequences of pursuing unpopular truths!
Anyway, let's check out some of the latest in scientific results about the power of homeopathy:
- Dr. Iris Bell continues her groundbreaking research, this time
proving that the effects of remedies can be measured on patient EEGs.
- Researchers using Aconite with mice discovered interesting time-of-day specific effects.
- A homeopath in Pakistan has come up with an effective homeopathic protocol for
treating dengue fever.
- Researchers at India's University of Kalyani found that Nat sulph 200C reduced carcinogenic effects as well as liver tumor formation caused by hepatocarcinogens. The remedy also increased in-vivo
levels of glutathione. (Evid Based Complement Alternat Med. 2009, 6, 1, 65-75)
- After being given a chemical to induce liver cancer, selected groups of mice were given either homeopathic Chelidonium in 30C or 200C potencies, or a placebo control. Both potencies of Chelidonium
provided a significant protection against the formation of liver cancers as well as hepatotoxicity. (Indian Journal of Experimental Biology. 2004, Jul, 42, 7, 698-714)
- Mice given potentized Interferon alpha, beta 10X, produced a statistically significant increase in immune responses related to the cytotoxic activity of allospecific T-cells and natural killer (NK)
cells. (Biomed Pharmacother. 1988;42(3):197-206)
- Lycopodium 30C administered to mice offered some protection from the carcinogens p-dimethyl amino azo benzene and phenobarbital. (Mol Cell Biochem. 2006 Apr;285(1-2):121-31)
- In an uncontrolled study, 15 people suffering from various intracranial tumors were treated with a combination of Ruta 6C and homeopathic calcium phosphate. All forms of tumors, particularly gliomas,
were found to regress under the treatment. (Int J Oncol. 2003 Oct;23(4):975-82)
